It was founded by SM Entertainment and was split into two sub-groups, EXO-K and EXO-M, which stood for Korean and Mandarin, respectively. Their fandom is named EXO-L.

Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun are the current members. Because of the sub-groups, they have a large fan base in China.
