Also, they offered to take us out when we get back. The immigration line leaving Bolivia moved rather slowly and the tendency of the locals to budge and actually think we did not notice bothered me but we made it through and worked our way to the next line for entering Argentina. This line we were in for 2 hours. Not only did they have one person working the window, that person knocked down the system so the line didn’t even move an inch for a half hour. During this time I became more and more irritated with the people who somehow believed it was much more important that they cross the border than us. Luckily, an Italian girl, and her Argentine friend were also feeling the pain and argued with those trying to squeeze past us with me.
We were so close and those two girls had already missed their bus and people kept trying to budge, I was either going to hit the little old lady or push my way through. Finally across the border and beyond exhausted we arrived at the bus station and purchased our tickets to Salta! We grabbed breakfast with our new friends and got on our bus. Currently I have no idea why I am not asleep but I think there comes a point when you are too tired to be tired. Plus i needed to write all of this while it was fresh. To salta we go. I’m just ready for Mendoza and maybe like 17 bottles of vino.
In Salta! At an amazing hotel! About to shower for first time https://hookupdate.net/es/religious-dating-sites-es in three days! Hello human trina! Soooooo happy!! Pool day then sushi. Tomorrow we are going horse back riding! Sarah may cry from happiness!
Blaine proposed last night! Well, yesterday evening. I cannot believe that I am engaged!! And to the perfect man. I am truly blessed! He proposed in front or the horse and man statue named Artigas in the plaza across from our hotel. I cannot tell you how a skeptic turned into a believer, but I have never met someone like Blaine. New years in Montevideo in something else. They party all day in the street and then the town dies at night. The street party is crazy. Everybody celebrating and music and dancing. And beer pouring and cider dumping. When the crowd realized we were dry and obviously stood out due to skin/hair color, they had a blast spraying us with all you can think of. If it were not for Blaine grabbing hands and pushing them away and even stopping a glass from hitting my head mid air, I do not believe we would have made it. However, thanks to Blaine and to Jameson we survived the street party. I am severely hungover today even though we ended up not being out late nor being real drunk at the end. However, Sarah and I both feel like we have been run over by trucks and Blaine has informed me that we got into a wrestling match. That and the fact that while dancing Sarah bashed her head into a pole don’t have us being very productive today. We heard from some friends we made yesterday that we should head East to the beach. Wish we could go to Punta del Este, but those reservations are much more in the making than mine were. So, La Paloma here we come.
I did the latter
La Poloma is the kinda beach town that just makes you relax. That and the fact that Sarah found the perfect hotel for us named Zen Boutique Apart Hotel has us feeling fabulous and reenergized. Yesterday we arrived in the late afternoon but we were able to get some beach time in. We got a soccer ball from our hotel’s beach stand and played running up and down the beach. Now, it has been 6 weeks since I have actually had a work out and although I had planned (and packed) for such things as running, the big buildings caused the demise of that dream. Needless to say I am excited that when I return home I can get back to Exhale and my workout regimen. Until then, things like soccer on the beach will be hard. Today, the owner of the hotel dropped us off In town and we walked around all the beach shops shopping and on the mission to find scooters (blaine is obsessed). Sarah and I also agreed that they looked super fun. Unfortunately we were unable to rent since there were no more left so we returned to the hotel and are currently showering. There is a restaurant the owners recommended to us called punta sur that is right on the beach and we are going to ride bicycles to find it. Blaines bike is missing a peddle. Wish us luck.
